10 Best and Worst Dressed of the Week by kingtz

This week, I ‘ve decided to pull my top 10 best and worst dressed from just one event — The Critics’ Choice Television Awards. This decision was made mostly out of laziness, but luckily the star-studded event just so happened to include a lot of sartorial stunners (and even more fashion offenders). Make sure to let me know which picks you agree with, and which make you think I’m batsh*t crazy!

First up is Sarah Hyland of Modern Family fame. (I’ve chosen her from this photo because we all know the other two kids from the show are boring.) Anyway, I love Sarah, I think she’s adorable, but I do not like, never have liked, and never will like one-shoulder dresses! Can we just let this trend DIE already?

And speaking of death, Julianne Moore did kill it in this age-appropriate yet enviable-figure-hugging black & white body con dress. I really like the choice she made to pair the dress with nude shoes.

Since this whole morbid death theme seems to be really working for me right now, let’s continue with Christina Hendricks, who apparently dressed up to attend a funeral. Also, this dress is too old for her — it would look amazing on Helen Mirren, but it’s too conservative for sexy Christina.

After looking at that depressing dress, this look on Zooey Deschanel is a major breath of fresh air. I have serious outfit-envy right now and would more or less die (there I go again!) for this gorgeous gown. I also love the matchy-matchy styling with the bag, and the classic lines of the pumps.

Sigh. One-shoulder, again? Although, even two shoulders wouldn’t save this dress. Emmy Rossum, sweetheart, this belongs on a Real Housewife!

In sharp contrast to the above, Lucy Liu looked absolutely perfect in pink. I am especially loving her makeup (she doesn’t age, does she?).

Cat Deeley, meanwhile, pulled off a similar look. I love how simple and yet elegant this dress is, and I love the loose curls with it. She looks very ’70s chic.

Ginnifer Goodwin doesn’t look chic for any decade, however. Sorry to be harsh, but this outfit is an atrocity and should be burned immediately. On a positive note, her makeup looks great.

I need some help with this one. Olivia Munn looks gorgeous, and I like this dress, but something about it doesn’t feel very stylish or modern. Thoughts? Do you love or hate? I keep going back and forth!

However, I have no doubts about Hayden Panettiere’s ensemble. Girl, this looks like something you wore to your last day of high school. No, no, no, no! I hate the cutouts on the dress, but what I really, really hate are the shoes. Are they Candie’s?!? Where did she get them (and why have they been made?). FAIL.
